Do not trace, recolor, steal, or sell my artwork!"Flames burst across the town swiftly, sparing none in it's path. The fools; they have been warned. They have been warned that there would only be misfortune to cause an uproar. The very misfortune to even give the slightest thought of attempting to collect a head worth the bounty. They never saw the danger, the very painful demise that stood before them, never realizing the monstrous force that stepped before them. For there is no pity for those who try to clash blades with the black mage. In the rising inferno that remained unharmed was the demon whose eyes glowed with satisfaction".
I am so happy to finally be able to finish this piece! This took me over one hundred years to finish this one piece. It pretty much took over my life... with art that is. To start off, this is for Yoruhoshi
who's birthday was... ten days ago. I decided to draw her character, Yoruhoshi, and color it with Photoshop. It actually was easy to do, but it took so long to try and finish it up. However, the only difficult part when coloring this character was Yoruhoshi's hair (and I think some parts should be fixed) which almost killed me in the process.
Now the fire I did all from scratch. Thanks to this helpful tutorial, shadowumbre.deviantart.com/art…
, I was able to make the fire. It was a little tricky because I kept arguing with myself whether or not the fire looked realistic and I kept changing it over and over again. However, I was able to get it down and it came out fantastic. Now I have to tell you, I was working this particular picture a lot in my school (and procrastinating on the other art pieces I am suppose to do...) and it became very popular among my peers... and the art teachers (I have to give props to them too for giving me their opinions on it and made it look as it is now).
I wasn't planning on adding the burnt edges, but one of my art teachers today told me that the background I originally had was too empty and said I should fill it in somehow. So I thought of, since this is fire, I should have the edges of the picture burned. So I got a neat paint brush set that I found while searching for tutorials on how to make burned paper (which I will list below in the credits) and went crazy with it. It was a lot of fun and I hope to find another piece that will allow me to see these brush sets again (they're are fantastic!)
So I hope you enjoy this as much I did pouring my heart and soul into this piece. Oh and Yoruhoshi
? Happy belated birthday, hope the quality of this picture will make up for my lateness. Oh yeah, by the way, to make this I had to use 54 layers. 54 freaking layers!
